Bargaining Update
The Team is diligently working on the Essential and Emergency Service Agreements; we will have an update on the numbers of completion and in progress for the October Table Talk meeting as promised.
REMINDER! Local Demand Set
The Local Demand Set process is important because it gives members and locals a direct voice in establishing bargaining priorities. Each Local has an opportunity to identify it’s top 10 bargaining priorities which will help the team fight for every member at the table.
Members are encouraged to participate in the General Membership Meetings (GMM) and review the list of proposed demands before priorities are submitted. Please note that quorum is required.
Key Deadline
Local demand surveys must be submitted by October 13 2026. Your participation matters! Local priorities will help shape the issues brought forward through the OPS Unified Bargaining Procedures.
REMINDER! FXT and Seasonal Working Group Elections
The Area Coordinating Groups (ACGs) will be holding elections to select one FXT member and one Seasonal member from each region to form the FXT and Seasonal Working Group.
The FXT and Seasonal Working Group is established through our Bargaining Procedures. The group would traditionally consist of FXT and Seasonal Delegates who attended the Regional Bargaining Conferences. However, many of those members have since moved into permanent positions, taken on other roles, or left the OPS.
As members of the Working Group must be elected, the Bargaining Team has requested that ACGs hold elections to fill these positions. We are hoping to have all members elected by the end of October.
To stand for election, you must currently be an FXT or Seasonal member. This is a voluntary position, and meetings will be held virtually with the FXT/Seasonal representative on the bargaining team.
The Working Group will be responsible for liaising with FXT and Seasonal members to identify and bring forward the issues that most affect these members and their respective categories.
In Solidarity,
On behalf of the OPS Unified Bargaining team

Loretta Clark — Vice- Chair
