Workers at OPSEU/SEFPO Local 358 Community Living Trent Highlands are fighting for fair wages and quality care for the people they support. On February 4, they rallied alongside allies in front of their local MPP’s office, before taking their message to their Board of Directors. They were also joined by OPSEU/SEFPO President JP Hornick and First Vice-President/Treasurer Laurie Nancekivell.

Developmental services workers are asked to wait for fair pay while the cost of living keeps climbing. Years of wage restraint and delays have taken a real toll, and it’s hurting workers, the services they provide, and the people they support.
But workers at OPSEU/SEFPO Local 358 are standing together alongside thousands of others in the Worth Fighting For campaign to demand real movement. We deserve more than excuses and empty promises!
Showing up sends a clear message: workers are done being sidelined, and we expect respect, fairness, and real progress. Developmental services and the people we support are WORTH FIGHTING FOR.
