This week, community health and social services workers held Community Info Pickets across the province. Workers, services, and communities are Worth Fighting For!

Worth Fighting For
On May 1, 27 bargaining units – representing more than 4,500 OPSEU/SEFPO members – filed for No Board reports together in a coordinated show of strength.
The countdown has started, and workers are ready to strike – unless the Ford government acts now.
Workers are calling on the provincial government to deliver wages that were stolen under Ford’s unconstitutional Bill 124 and the funding their agencies need to protect jobs, protect services, and support the communities that rely on them.
Bill 124 capped public sector wage increases at just 1% amidst crushing inflation and a cost-of-living crisis. After the law was overturned, many other public sector workers – including workers in hospitals, colleges, and the Ontario Public Service – received retroactive wage increases. Community health and social services workers are still waiting for justice, while underfunding is pushing workers to the brink, eroding services, and leaving communities struggling.
Workers and allies have come together across sectors in community health and social services for this historic fight – because workers, the people they support, and our communities are WORTH FIGHTING FOR.
