On International Workers’ Day, workers in community health and social services are taking a historic stand – for each other, for the people we support and for the future of our services.
Workers’ demands are clear: justice for stolen wages from Doug Ford’s unconstitutional Bill 124 and funding that will protect the services that kids, families and communities rely on.
Together, workers are taking the next step in their coordinated bargaining campaign by filing for “No Board” reports with the Ministry of Labour, marking the next step towards potential strike action.
Strike action isn’t a step workers take lightly. But after years of underfunding and delay, workers have been pushed to this point.
Doug Ford must act now: fund these services and give workers what they are owed.
