Between June and August 2025, a Demand Set survey was sent to OPS Unified members. We received more than 9,000 responses. The report is attached for your review.
As outlined in the OPS Unified Bargaining Procedures (3.2), members provide a collective voice at the local level through a Demand Set Survey.
We recommend that the LEC/local plan a membership meeting to set the Local Demands as soon as possible.
We understand that choosing dates that allow the greatest number of members to attend can be challenging, and we want to give you enough time to plan.
Please note that quorum is required.
Art 3.2.7 of the Bargaining Procedures states:
Quorum for local demand setting meetings shall be as specified in Article 29.8.2 of the OPSEU/SEFPO Constitution, based on the number of OPS Unified members in the local.
The Bargaining Team will accept Local Demands until October 13, 2026 (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving).
The bargaining procedures are attached.
What You Need to Do:
1. Schedule a membership meeting before October 13, 2026 to set Local Demands.
2. Coordinate with your Staff Representative early—they must attend to facilitate voting.
3. Notify members of the meeting date and encourage attendance (quorum is required).
4. Staff to collect completed Demand Set form and submit to the Bargaining Team – Demand Set Priority Ranking Survey link.
Resource: Area Co-ordinating Groups and mobilizers can also support you through this process! Ensure you are part of the chat in your Area/Region. (Or, see image below.)

In solidarity,
OPS Unified Bargaining Team
