Dear Friends,
We warmly invite you to join us for a special Passover (Pesach) Celebration as we gather to share in the story, traditions, and spirit of this meaningful Jewish holiday. If you are not attending Convention this year but would like to join us for this event, you are most welcome.
Passover is a time of remembrance and reflection. It commemorates the ancient story of the Israelites’ journey from slavery to freedom, a story that continues to inspire conversations about resilience, hope, and liberation for all people.
This event welcomes both Jewish and non-Jewish guests. Whether you are very familiar with Passover traditions or experiencing them for the first time, you will find an atmosphere of learning, connection, and community.
- Please note: Due to the difficulty in arranging Kosher for Passover Catering, no food will be served.
Date: Thursday, April 9, 2026
Time: 12:10 pm – 12:50 pm
Location: 206EF Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front St W, Toronto, ON M5V 2W6
During the event, we will:
- Share key elements of the Passover story
- Experience selected traditions from the Seder (ceremonial meal)
- Explain the symbolic foods on the Seder plate
- Reflect together on themes of freedom, justice, and gratitude
No prior knowledge is needed — just curiosity and an open heart.
We look forward to celebrating together and sharing this meaningful tradition with you.
Warmly,
OPSEU/SEFPO’s Jewish Caucus
