Welcome to Convention 2026!
There’s something grounding about being in this space together, thousands of members from every corner of the province, stepping into the same room with different experiences, different priorities, and a shared responsibility: to shape what comes next.
This year’s theme, One Big Union, Un Grand Syndicat, asks something of us: not to just say it, but to live it. Being one union doesn’t mean we always agree. It does mean, however, that we stay at the table anyway. It means we wrestle with hard conversations, we listen across differences, and we make decisions that reflect the strength and complexity of our membership.
Convention is where that work happens. It’s where ideas are tested, where accountability shows up at the mic, and where the direction of our union is decided in real time. It’s democracy, up close. And while these decisions matter, so do the moments around them; the hallway conversations, the quiet check-ins, the solidarity that shows up in small, human ways. That’s part of the story too.
That’s what inSolidarity is here to capture.
We’re a member-driven team, and we’re here as part of Convention, as activists, observers and local leaders, paying attention to what’s happening on the floor and beyond. Our goal is simple: to document this Convention as it unfolds, in a way that reflects the voices and experiences of our members.
