We are writing jointly to share That Sandgate Women’s Shelter of York Region Inc and OPSEU/SEPFO Local 310 have reached an agreement.
We recognize this has been a difficult period for everyone involved. The return to work ahead of us is not simply a resumption of duties. It is a process of reconciliation, one that calls on strength, professionalism, and resilience. Both Sandgate and OPSEU are committed to supporting employees through this transition, and to ensuring that the workplace we rebuild together is one of respect, stability, and shared purpose.
Sandgate and OPSEU remain deeply committed to the wellbeing of employees, recognizing that the strength of our services to support individuals depends on a workforce that feels supported, valued, respected, and heard. Together, we are committed to creating a positive path forward and to supporting one another as we re- establish our working relationships.
As we return to the workplace, we encourage everyone to do so in a spirit of collaboration, professionalism, empathy, and mutual respect. While the labour disruption has now come to an end, our shared commitment to the individuals and communities we support remains unchanged. By working together, we can continue to provide the exceptional care, support, and services that are at the heart of Sandgate’s work.
