In 2025, OPSEU/SEFPO welcomed
17,911 new members to our union! In the face of rising cost-of-living, stagnating wages and privatization of public services, thousands of workers across all sectors made the courageous decision to join with their co-workers and organize for changes in their workplace.Standing up to demand recognition as a union is no small feat – and in many cases, these victories were years in the making. Now, new members will be able to negotiate with a united voice, with the strength of OPSEU/SEFPO’s 200,000 strong membership behind them. This is also a testament to the resources and support directed towards new organizing efforts – OPSEU/SEFPO is proud to be a growing union. We are thrilled to welcome so many new members and continue the work of building a strong, organized labour movement. We are ready to fight with you, and alongside you. Welcome!
