The CAAT Pension Plan wants to support you following the 2025 OPSEU Support Staff Strike and to keep you informed about your pension and next steps now that the collective agreement has been ratified.First and foremost, please be assured: the pension you’ve earned with the CAAT Pension Plan remains secure.During the strike period, pension contributions from both you and your employer were temporarily paused. As a result, no pension benefits were accrued during that time.
What happens next?
You’ll receive a strike election purchase package by mail, once CAAT Pension Plan receives and processes the necessary data from your employer in the coming months. This package will:
- Outline the cost to purchase your pension service for the strike period
- Explain how this purchase could impact your future pension
- Provide clear instructions on how to make your election
Once you receive the package, you’ll have 100 days to make your election and submit your payment.
We’re here to help
