OPSEU/SEFPO Member portal now includes pronouns – update yours today!

OPSEU/SEFPO is proud to announce a new feature on our membership portal: the ability for members to update your pronouns. This update is more than just a feature — by affirming a person’s gender identity we’re taking a step towards creating a more inclusive union.Pronouns are a fundamental part of how we identify and express ourselves. They are deeply personal and integral to who we are and our individual identities. By providing the option to specify pronouns and normalising their use, we are acknowledging and respecting each other’s identity.Follow these instructions to update your pronouns on the OPSEU/SEFPO member portal now:

1. Log into the Member Portal
2. Click on the “Update Info” button.
3. Update your “Pronoun” by selecting from the Pronoun drop down (He/Him; Prefer Not to Answer; She/Her; Self-Described; They/Them)

Everyone has the right to be identified correctly. When we use the correct pronouns for each other, we validate each other’s identities, build solidarity and create more welcoming workplaces and communities!Thank you — and Happy Pride month!
