OPSEU/SEFPO launches ad campaign to save public healthcare!
May 29, 2023
There’s no sugar-coating it: Public healthcare is in imminent danger. That’s why we’ve launched a new campaign to help save it.What were once warning signs have become full-fledged realities. The Ontario government is actively promoting for-profit healthcare while dismantling the publicly funded system we all depend on. Vulnerable people from across the province are being forced to wait for life-saving treatments. When corporate profits are the priority, wait times and the staffing crisis get worse. This puts us ALL at risk. The only real solution is more funding and more staff hired in our public healthcare system. The first step on our campaign: we need you to send a letter to the Ford government and demand they invest in public healthcare.Take a stand now. Write to your political representatives and urge them to save publicly funded healthcare! The Ontario government works for us, not the other way around. We need to show every last leader and representative that our support depends on whether or not they fix this crisis. That’s why your letter is so important; when we work together, our voices become too loud to ignore. We can’t let corporate greed and shareholder profits determine the care that Ontarians can access. For-profit healthcare will not solve our healthcare crisis; it will make it worse. This is the time for widespread action.Tell your representatives you’re saying NO to for-profit healthcare. Send your message, now.
Together we can save public healthcare. If you haven’t seen it yet, watch our powerful campaign video:
