Negotiators representing OPSEU members in Local 512 Youth Employment Services have reached a tentative agreement with the employer, and are unanimously recommending that members ratify the offer.
The agreement was reached on Monday afternoon. A ratification vote is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday August 11, at 9 a.m.
“This deal is a good step in the right direction," said bargaining team representative Michael Louca. "It was mobilizing – by OPSEU"s Youth Employment Services members – that sent a message to the employer that their union is strong."
