On Strike: Black Creek Community Health Centre Workers
What’s on the line?
Fair pay
Under Bill 124, all public sector workers are entitled to wage increases of 1% per year (up to a total of 3 years). Workers at community health centres in other parts of the GTA have gotten their wage increases, but Black Creek Community Health Centre is denying us any. We provide vital services to the Jane and Finch/Black Creek communities that extend beyond healthcare. We support our community mentally, emotionally, and socially as well. We deserve to be given the same wage increases as our peers. Why is Black Creek Community Health Centre not even doing the bare minimum to give its workers recognition for our dedication to the Jane and Finch/Black Creek community? Tell the Minister of Health Christine Elliott and Black Creek Community Health Centre Executive Director Cheryl Prescod to give us the wage increases and respect we deserve! Email:

Tweet the Minister of Health @celliottability and Executive Director of Black Creek CHC @cherylprescod
Why is @BlackCreekCHC turning its back on #healthcareworkers? @cherylprescod @celliottability 1% is NOT too much for community healthcare workers to ask. #communityWORKERSmatter #JaneFinch and #BlackCreek health care is on the line @celliottability. Protect public health care services and tell @cherylprescod to give @BlackCreekCHC workers the 1% they deserve. #communityWORKERSmatter
