Attention OPSEU/SEFPO’s elected leaders,OPSEU/SEFPO’s Provincial Young Workers Committee (PYC) is proud to announce that the Young Worker Mentorship Program will begin very soon! We are now seeking expressions of interest from potential mentors interested in participating in the 2025-2026 program. The mentors will be elected leaders throughout the union such as Executive Board Members, MERC, CERC, Division, Sector Chairs and Local Presidents. The 12-month program aims to establish a supportive mentoring culture and provide opportunities to connect individuals from diverse backgrounds and with different levels of experience from across the union. The program will also allow participants to build confidence with the hope of running for a leadership role in the future. The program is very casual! Feel free to customize it to your liking. Virtual meetings, coffee meet-ups, phone calls, etc., on your own time. You’re welcome to invite your mentee to union meetings and events at your own discretion. If needed, time-off letters will be provided for union meetings and events for mentees.Let’s inspire future union leaders! The establishment of mentoring relationships provides numerous benefits, fostering personal and professional growth.
