Help us demand a safe workplace at CLASS
No one should have to worry about the risk of getting seriously hurt, hospitalized, or killed at work – but CLASS staff are being put in danger every day. CLASS management has a responsibility to protect its employees!Email CLASS Executive Director Andrew Walker and tell him that CLASS workers deserve a safe workplace:
Subject: Keep CLASS workers safe!Dear Andrew Walker,I am a community member who is concerned about reports of dangerous working conditions at CLASS. There has been an increase in physical and verbal assaults on workers while supporting individuals in community living facilities, resulting in concussions, stitches, broken bones, and post-traumatic stress disorder. No one should have to worry about the risk of getting seriously hurt, hospitalized, or killed at work, but CLASS staff are being put in danger every day.CLASS facilities are not designed or equipped to accommodate individuals with a history of violence or substance use. Workers are not trained to support individuals with these complex needs. As Executive Director, you have a responsibility to protect your employees from workplace violence.CLASS workers deserve safety. Thank you,
