Earlier this week, 115 community health workers at Thames Valley Family Health voted join OPSEU/SEFPO in a successful certification vote. This new group, which includes pharmacists, psychologists, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, RPNS, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, dieticians, mental health counsellors, team assistants and administrative assistants, do critical work supporting the health of communities in the City of London, and Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin counties.
“The Sector and I are so excited to welcome all 115 workers at the Thames Valley Family Health team, who have voted to join OPSEU/SEFPO,” shared from Lucy Morton, Chair of the OPSEU/SEFPO Community Health Care Sector. “They will now have the support they so richly deserve to win improvements in their workplace. A warm welcome from our hundreds of Community Health workers from across the province, that you now have joined in our collective fight. With all of you, we now have an even stronger voice to improve both our working conditions and improve healthcare for all Ontarians.”
