OPS Unified Fixed Term (FXT) and Seasonal Working Group elections are coming up!
The Area Coordinating Groups (ACGs) will be holding elections to select one FXT member and one Seasonal member from each region to form the FXT and Seasonal Working Group.
The OPS Unified Bargaining procedures sets out the formation of an FXT Working Group to ensure that the issues faced by these precarious members are communicated between the members and the Bargaining Team. It also creates the opportunity to help mobilize the over 46 per cent of OPS Unified members who are currently FXT and Seasonal workers as we prepare to negotiate a new Collective Agreement.
The Bargaining team has asked the Area Coordinating Groups (ACGs) to hold these Working Group Elections over the next several weeks with the goal of having all members elected by the end of October.
If you are interested in standing for these positions, you must be a signed member in good standing and currently be employed as an FXT and/or Seasonal member.
