Are you a candidate who has been nominated for an Equity seat on OPSEU/SEFPO’s Executive Board? Or are you supporting a candidate who has been nominated? Review this checklist to ensure that you’re fully prepared for the election!
- Do you have a nominator, or did you accept your nomination?
- Have you submitted a biography (up to 500 words)? The deadline for submission is January 28, 2026 at 5pm.
- Have you provided a headshot? The deadline for submission is January 28, 2026 at 5pm.
- Do your written and photo submissions adhere to the OPSEU/SEFPO Statement of Respect, policies and constitution?
- Do you have any Human Rights Accommodation needs? If so, pre-submit these in advance and in accordance with the OPSEU/SEFPO Human Rights Accommodation policy in advance of the Candidate Forum.
Reminders for all candidates:
- Written biography submissions will not be edited for content, grammar, spelling etc.
- All candidates are encouraged to attend the Candidate Forum of their respective selection; however, this is not a requirement for election.
- Candidates who are elected as Equity Executive Board members will attend OPSEU/SEFPO Convention from April 9-11, 2026, where they will be sworn in to the Executive Board. Equity Executive Board elects who don’t have delegate status will attend as Solidarity Guests.
