There were a few errors and typos identified in the central award issued by arbitrator Colin Johnston this past Monday. Below, members can find a summary of the changes made as well as a link to the updated award.
Corrections:
- Date of the award now reflects the date it was issued as August 17, 2026;
- Correction on retroactivity: Award now reflects language in the collective agreement;
- Correction on standby premium: Award now reflects regular and holiday standby;
- Correction on mental health benefits: Language clarifies coverage for service providers.
Townhall
This coming Wednesday August 26 at 6:30 PM, your HPD Central Bargaining Team is convening a virtual town hall to address member questions and to provide further analysis of the award.
You will have the option to submit any specific questions you may have ahead of the meeting. Receiving questions in advance helps use group similar questions together and better manage time during the townhall.
