The Region 2 Education Committee is are pleased to inform you that next Region 2 Treasurers Course and Trustee Audit Report (TAR) Catch-Up Workshop have been scheduled to take place as follows. Participants may attend one or both sessions.

Course descriptions
Treasurers Course
This course is aimed at Local Treasurers and Local Trustees who are either new to the role, or experienced members who are seeking a “refresher” course. The goal is to give Local Treasurers and Local Trustees the necessary tools and education in order for these roles to be fulfilled within the Local. It will also draw on members’ experiences to solve problems occurring with the administration of Local funds. Hard copies of course materials will be provided at the session.
Trustee Audit Reports (TARs) Catch-Up Workshop
Members will complete their TARs in real time with the assistance of an OPSEU/SEFPO Staff instructor, and member co-facilitator.
What to Bring:
- Financial information including receipts, bank statements, etc., for the outstanding TAR reporting period, including at least one (1) month prior.
- A laptop with Microsoft Excel installed.
Lost wages
Members requesting time off from work may access the Local Time Off (LTO) 80/20 Fund for wage reimbursement if their local’s Trustee Audit Reports (TARs) are not in arrears. Once you receive confirmation that you have been registered, please reach out to your Local Executive Committee (LEC) for assistance. The form must be approved/signed by two (2) LEC members and submitted to [email protected] for processing. Please note, members cannot approve their own time off requests. Approved expenses
- Members will be entitled to a lunch meal per diem in accordance with OPSEU/SEFPO Policy.
- Mileage in accordance with OPSEU/SEFPO Policy.
- Overnight accommodation will be reimbursed for attendees residing 60km or more from meeting venue, the night prior to the events only. A hotel reservation link will be sent with registration confirmation emails.
- Parking is free at Coopers Membership Centre.

Members may submit Advance requests via the OPSEU/SEFPO MemberPortal after receiving their registration confirmation email.
