Updates from your Provincial Labour Management Committee.
This month, your OHaH leaders from the Provincial Labour-Management Committee (PLMC), the 2026 provincial bargaining team and local presidents met to continue to shape our future as we navigate the next steps together.
Over the course of two days, we focused on improving collaboration between locals, strengthening communication and ensuring members have a strong voice as we build our PLMC structure and prepare for the next round of bargaining with Ontario Health atHome.
The Employer and PLMC have not yet been able to secure dates to begin meeting and expect to do so in September.

A message from your PLMC Chair Kelly Darzentas
I am honoured to have been elected as the inaugural Chair of the Provincial Labour Management Committee. After a long PSLRTA process, here we are now united as one big union!
We can now face employer as a united front tackling our issues at one Labour Management Table. As the Presidents of all 14 locals begin to meet monthly, we are committed to discuss matters that arise in each of our offices which will provide us the opportunity to address these issues as a collaborative body. We are excited to move forward as one cohesive group. Recognizing everyone’s strengths and ensuring that we all work together collaboratively and building each other up is the path to success.
Bargaining Preparations Timeline
Planning for provincial bargaining is already underway, and your team has outlined the following timeline for our preparations.
Summer 2026
- Province wide bargaining survey opens for members.
Every survey response helps shape the priorities that will be brought to the bargaining table. Members are encouraged to participate and speak with their Local leaders about the issues that matter most in their workplaces.
September
- Bargaining training for the bargaining team and alternates.
- Locals begin reviewing survey results and developing provincewide proposals.
Mid-November
- Provincial bargaining begins with Ontario Health atHome.
Common provisions update
The Provincial Labour-Management Committee has identified a small administrative error in the recently distributed Common Provisions document.
The Employer has been asked to correct the unintended highlighting and the reference to “Champlain” in Article 14.04. These are clerical errors only and do not change the language that was negotiated.
Updated Common Provisions Document
Looking ahead
The work completed over these two days lays the foundation for stronger provincial coordination and meaningful member engagement as bargaining approaches.
Strong bargaining starts with informed and engaged members. By working together, sharing our experiences and speaking with one voice, we put ourselves in the strongest possible position to achieve improvements in our next collective agreement.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support their Locals and advocate for members across the province. We look forward to sharing more updates as bargaining preparations continue.
In solidarity,
Your Ontario Health atHome Provincial Labour Management Committee
Moving forward the Membership will be receiving a Newsletter via email when we have updates to share.
