Dear families and concerned community members,
Please join us for the next Worth Fighting For community and family townhall on Sunday, June 14 at 7 pm.
For nearly three weeks, 4000 community, health and social services workers have been on strike, fighting for the future of the services that our communities rely on.
We have seen the impact that collective action and family and community support can have, and now is the time to keep building pressure until we secure the funding our communities need.
Despite their critical role supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, many workers on strike do not earn a living wage and are working multiple jobs just to make ends meet. Workers are fighting not only for fair wages, but for the funding needed to protect services, reduce waitlists, retain staff, ensure continuity of care, and to ensure that services are there when people need them.
In this townhall, you’ll hear from guest speakers, families, community allies and workers. You’ll have a space to learn more, ask questions, and plan together so we can win this funding and end the strike.
