As community health and social services workers prepare for potential coordinated strike action, some employers are choosing to side with the Ford government instead of standing with their employees.
Workers at Ingersoll Support Services gave notice that they intended to strike on Monday unless the government delivered stolen wages and funding for services.
Instead of using their voice to demand funding for the services they support, management announced they will lock workers out on May 23 at 12:01 a.m.
Thousands of other workers at community agencies across Ontario are poised to hit the picket lines on Monday.
Workers will be on the picket line to make their message clear: this is a fight for services, for the people they support, and for communities being cheated by underfunding.
Join the picket line on Saturday, May 23 from 8 am to 6m.
