As you are aware, on April 13, 2016, the parties attended the Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal pre-hearing conference where CLT admitted that it had not paid the required retroactive pay equity adjustments and had not made changes to the job rates as ordered by the Pay Equity Review Officer. Following the pre-hearing conference, counsel engaged in further discussions to confirm the adjustments owing. The payment schedule of 60 days was agreed to by consent and counsel for the Pay Equity Office duly advised the Tribunal and provided the agreed Schedules for payment. On November 23, 2016, the Tribunal issued its order, which confirmed the order of the Pay Equity Review Officer. The Tribunal further ordered that the job rates of the OPSEU bargaining unit members are to be adjusted to the appropriate pay equity rate.
