The community of Markdale is speaking out against a proposal to privatize the community's 66-bed long-term care facility. According to The Blackburn News, protesters, including community members, facility residents, and employees—lined the highway in front of the facility—yesterday.
An online petition is gathering names of those opposed to the sell-off.
The privatization proposal will be debated during the Grey County Council meeting in Owen Sound on Thursday, March 23, starting at 9:15 am.
