Children are the future, and the future is in good hands when our children can count on the nurturing, support, and encouragement of professional and caring frontline Child and Youth Care practitioners.
During International Child and Youth Care Week, we’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the dedication, hard work, and love that OPSEU members in child and youth care pour into their work all day, every day.
In group homes, residential treatment centres, hospitals, community mental health clinics, schools, quality child care centres, and family homes, frontline child and youth care workers help our children live life to the fullest today and develop into the productive, prosperous, and engaged citizens of tomorrow.
The work isn’t always easy, but it’s always incredibly valuable.
On behalf of OPSEU’s entire Executive Board and all of our 155,000 members: thank you. We’re all better off because of the vital work you do.
In solidarity,
Warren (Smokey) Thomas, OPSEU President
