Are you new to OPSEU or a union environment? Are you in a new workplace where the terms and acronyms used are unfamiliar to you? Have you heard different terminologies and acronyms that have you wondering what they mean? Then you have come to the right place.
Why glossaries? To provide you with an alphabetical list of terms with the definitions for those terms to help you navigate through the union jargon.
The Member Education Unit has broken down the different terminologies you will hear into user-friendly glossaries.
You may find some of these in labour related courses but we are providing them as a quick reference. We look forward to when we can offer our regional education events again. Until then, stay safe, and take advantage of these new tools to assist in your success in navigating union and labour terminologies.
