Even more front-line hospital support staff at Mackenzie Health have voted to join OPSEU/SEFPO.
“Welcome to our union – we’re stronger because you’ve joined us,” said OPSEU/SEFPO Hospital Support (Sector 11) Chair Jill McIllwraith. “We understand the value of your work, because so many of us do the very same work. We understand that without support workers, a hospital is just a building where healing can’t happen.
The newest members are all employees in the Health Information Management and Central Staffing and Scheduling Departments of Mackenzie Health across all sites of the Vaughan and Richmond Hill Hospital locations. A variety of other Mackenzie Health Hospital Support Staff and Health Professionals are already members of OPSEU/SEFPO, as are more than 3,000 other Hospital Support workers and more than 25,000 other Hospital Professionals across the province.
