Support is rapidly growing for Ontario NDP candidate Thadsha Navaneethan as the only candidate in Scarborough-Guildwood who can take on Doug Ford from DAY ONE!OPSEU/SEFPO has endorsed Thadsha in this by-election because Navaneethan is a champion for labour and human rights, and as an OPSEU/SEFPO member, former local president and current human rights officer – she knows exactly what workers in Scarborough need.Thadsha and her family arrived in Canada as refugees when she was just 10 and settled in Guildwood. Having grown up in Scarborough and now raising a young family, Thadsha knows that Scarborough deserves better than Doug Ford’s Conservatives.Thadsha’s platform focuses on making housing affordable again, fixing Scarborough’s crumbling healthcare system, protecting public assets and green spaces, and securing funding for schools in disrepair.Sending a member of the NDP Official Opposition to Queen’s Park will ensure that the people of Scarborough-Guildwood have a strong voice representing them in the legislature.On Tuesday evening, OPSEU/SEFPO hit the streets to spread the word about Thadsha Navaneethan’s commitment to the community.
