Since our last bargaining dates in November, we have been awaiting confirmation of the employer’s agreement on a third-party mediator. These discussions began in October, and after nearly 8 weeks we finally heard back from the employer that they’ve agreed to utilize Mark Wright to assist the parties through mediation.
We are happy to share that we have confirmed mediation dates with Arbitrator Wright on February 6th and 7th, 2026. We recognize the length of time it has taken to get us to this point and the stress that working without a contract places on our members.
Over the next 6 weeks we will be focused on finalizing our mediation brief in preparation for our mediation dates. Your bargaining team remains committed to negotiating a fair deal that recognizes the unique and challenging conditions that we face every day.
As we head into the holiday season, whether you are working or spending time with family and friends, we want to wish you a safe and wonderful holiday.
