OPSEU/SEFPO Local 393 has reached a tentative agreement with Simcoe/Muskoka ParaMed Home Health Care. Local 393 members will have the opportunity to vote on whether to accept this contract on February 1, 2023.
The tentative contract includes higher wage increases than previously offered by ParaMed, the addition of shift premiums, as well as improvements to travel time, mileage, overtime, benefits, vacation and bereavement leave.
Local 393 members have shown that when health care workers organize, stand together and demand respect from their employer, they can take on the largest home care company in Canada and win gains that they can build on in future contracts.
