Your region 6 & 7 Executive Board Members have arranged the OPSEU/SEFPO Pension and Benefits department to host a pension presentation tailored specifically for those who are interested in exploring Defined Benefits Pension Plans.  If your local/employer has no pension plan, a Defined Contribution plan or a Group RRSP and you’re curious about what other options are available mark your calendars for Thursday, June 27th.

We are offering two sessions to accommodate diverse schedules: the first from 12 pm to 1 pm, and the second from 7 pm to 8 pm. Both sessions will be conducted virtually via Zoom.

There will be a 40-minute presentation which will cover the following:

  • What is a Defined Benefits pension plan
  • How this plan differs from a Defined Contribution and Group RRSP
  • The benefits of a DB plan
  • What options are available
  • How to pursue these options with your employer
  • Costs related to these plans

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.

To ensure there is sufficient time for Q and A, we are only inviting the two highest ranking, local members at this time.

To RSVP , kindly respond to [email protected] with your name and local number before June 27th . Upon registration, an invitation with the event details will be sent to you. Should your schedule prevent you from attending the initially selected timeslot, rest assured that you can partake in the alternate presentation using the same link.

We eagerly anticipate your participation and the opportunity to discuss this crucial aspect of retirement planning with you.
