Ontario Public Service - Corrections

The Corrections Division supervises adults in 25 correctional institutions and 119 probation and parole offices. Our division is comprised of some 9,000 members, including correctional officers, probation and parole officers, nurses, social workers, rehab officers, cooks, chaplains, volunteer co-ordinators, bailiffs, rec officers, trades workers and administrative assistants, among others. Correctional workers joined OPSEU in 1968, when the Province took over county jails.
