OPSEU Local 421 President Tim Prewer told the Peterborough Examiner it's been a "difficult week" for his members after the board of governors at Loyalist College announced that 27 workers would lose their jobs.

The Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) is seeking a member to represent OPSEU as a Trustee on the CAAT Pension Plan for an upcoming vacancy.  This Trustee position rotates between OPSEU CAAT Support, OPSEU CAAT Academic and the Ontario College Administrative Staff Association (OCASA).

OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas spoke to more than 100 Algonquin College staff on Thursday, May 21 on the future of education. He was invited to speak at the College by the Board of Governors. OPSEU Locals 415 and 416 were instrumental in the preparations for the presentation.
