Verification of mail-in ballots has confirmed that faculty at Ontario's 24 community colleges have narrowly accepted the employer’s contract offer. As a result, the offer from the Colleges becomes the new collective agreement for the next three years.

TORONTO – Results of the vote by faculty in Ontario’s 24 community colleges on the employer’s last contract offer are too close to determine whether the offer has been accepted or rejected.

TORONTO – The union representing faculty in Ontario’s 24 community colleges is calling on the employer to return to the bargaining table if a majority of their members reject the last received offer received from the Colleges on February 10.

TORONTO – The Ontario Labour Relations Board (OLRB) has ruled that faculty in Ontario’s 24 community colleges will vote on the employer’s offer on February 10, 2010. Today, OPSEU has announced that it will delay the strike deadline until February 17, 2010.
