OPSEU’s budget is the fuel that feeds the union’s motor. No matter how motivated our activists, if there’s no gas in the tank, we won’t get very far.
That’s why presenting and understanding the budget is one of the key activities of every Convention. The budget is a tangible expression of what OPSEU values most: what its priorities are and what its plans are for the coming year – and beyond. It also gives you a measuring stick for the performance of the union over the last year.
So that delegates have as good an understanding as possible of the budget, we’ve planned a question-and-answer session with Eduardo (Eddy) Almeida, OPSEU First Vice-President/Treasurer, and Maurice Gabay, Administrator of Financial Services.
It will take place on Wednesday, May 22 from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. in room 202AB. It may well be one of the most informative and useful hours you spend at Convention 2019. Please join us!
