On Saturday, January 20 2018, one year after the historic Women’s March on Washington, people of all backgrounds, abilities, genders and orientations, will march to end hate, racism, Islamophobia and other forms of violence against women.
Women’s marches will be happening across Ontario as part of a global coalition of sister marches that continue to mobilize on issues that affect us all–violence against women, anti-black, anti-Muslim and anti-Indigenous racism, discrimination and violence against migrant and precarious workers, refugees and workers without legal status. Women’s marches continue to resist acts of hate, nationalism, xenophobia, homophobia and transphobia.
On January 20, we march again to build upon our grassroots movements and coalitions—movements such as #METOO, BlackLivesMatter, #$15&Fairness, Make It Fair, and Idle No More.
We organize to ensure key demands of the labour movement are realized: we demand gender, racial, social and economic justice.
Please join the Provincial Women’s Committee (PWC) and the Provincial Human Rights Committee (PHRC) in our resistance and celebration at the Women’s Pre-March Breakfast and Art Build that will be held before the Women’s March –Toronto on Saturday. The PWC and PHRC will provide art supplies and materials to create signs and banners.

They are known as Chippewa of the Thames, Oneida of the Thames and the Munsee-Delaware Nations. We will gather in celebration and fierce resistance with our sisters and allies across the world as we raise our voices to say no to violence, injustice, inequality and silence.
