Wage reopener update: Support Our CAAT Support PT Bargaining Team!

We have an important update about our ongoing negotiation with the College Employer Council (CEC) and how you can play a role in our fight for fair compensation.

As you may know, Doug Ford’s wage freezing Bill 124, which previously capped our wages at a shameful 1%, was declared unconstitutional in November 2022. This significant court decision, activates our wage re-opener clause and paves the way for renegotiations.

Your CAAT-S Part-Time (PT) Bargaining Team will reconvene with the CEC on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

The team is going into this meeting prepared to make the case for addressing the soaring cost of living and advocating for a wage increase that reflects the escalating costs we all face.

It’s vitally important our bosses know we all support our bargaining team and fair compensations so we’re asking everyone to Wear Blue on Wednesday, October 18!

Let’s create a sea of blue on Wednesday to send a message of unity and solidarity for a fairer deal!

Take a pic of you and your colleagues wearing blue and send them to bstamm at opseu dot org.

We’ll use your pics in future communications and on social media to showcase our collective strength and unity!

Your participation and visual support will send a powerful message during the negotiations.

Thank you for standing with us, for us, and alongside us. Let’s make waves and advocate for the fair and equitable agreement we all deserve!
