After relentless pressure from OPSEU, the Government of Ontario has now confirmed that it will be installing Plexiglass this week at all Service Ontario retail offices and Land Registry offices as an enhanced precaution to help protect employees from this deadly virus.

This is another important step in our fight for the safety of every OPSEU member. Rest assured, we are working tirelessly to keep our members safe from COVID-19.

From the moment the pandemic was declared we have been diligent in our communication with government and employers to ensure they follow the best possible health and safety standards. Your safety is and always has been our first concern, and our pressure is paying off.

Here are some other safety measures that OPSEU has pushed Service Ontario for:

Today the OPSEU Executive Board also bolstered its efforts to support members who are facing financial difficulties during the COVID-19 outbreak: https://opseu.org/news/opseu-to-provide-financial-support-for-eligible-members/104583/

Together we shall prevail.
