The OPSEU/SEFPO Statement of Respect has been updated in March 2023 – the most recent version of the statement is below.

The Statement of Respect is read out loud at the beginning of at all OPSEU/SEFPO gatherings. It is a statement of values, affirming our commitment to ensuring that our union events are places where discrimination and harassment are not tolerated. It is also an action statement, providing all members at the gathering with the names of people they can speak with if they are experiencing discrimination or harassment.

From time to time, the Statement of Respect is updated so that the language is more inclusive. Please ensure that you are using the most recent version at any upcoming OPSEU/SEFPO gatherings.
