Educating, planning, strategizing, and mobilizing Young Workers within your Local and your community!
We are excited to announce the first OPSEU/SEFPO Region 7 Young Worker Conference that will be focused on the OPSEU/SEFPO Story: Building our Union Together.
The aim of the conference is to facilitate discussions with young workers from across the northwest around:
- Learning about your Union
- Talking about what’s turning Young Workers away from their Union
- Education available to Young Workers within your Union and the Labour movement
- Planning, strategizing, and mobilizing within your Union and community
- Where will Young Workers take our Union moving forward
This is open to all young workers in Region 7.
The conference will begin with an evening meet and greet on Friday August 11 @ 7:00 pm. The Provincial Young Worker Committee wants to get to know the young workers in Region 7 and to answer any questions that you may have before diving into the conference material.
We will start the educational “The OPSEU/SEFPO Story: Building our Union Together” Saturday morning, finishing at 5:00pm. Following up with a social at 7:00 pm.
On Sunday, we will work together to educating, plan, strategize, and mobilize Young Workers within your Local and your community
Your wages, travel, childcare/dependent care and accommodation will be covered for this event as per the Region 7 Education practice.
