Striking LCBO workers get their message out during first week: Media roundup

The first full week of the LCBO workers’ strike has continued to dominate headlines since our previous media round-up on the first weekend of the strike.

Across the province, LCBO workers and allies from their communities, the broader labour movement, and politicians across the party lines picketed and rallied this past week.

LCBO workers have been incredibly effective at telling their stories to reporters, and talking about what this strike is all about: the thousands of jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars in public revenues at risk because of Ford’s alcohol everywhere plan.

LCBO workers are striking for the future of the LCBO, which pays for Ontario’s public services from their $2.5 billion annual revenues, and for good LCBO jobs in communities across the province.
