St. Catharines City Council wants report on NPCA

Region 2 Vice President Lucy Morton addressed St. Catharines City Council on October 16, speaking in favour of a motion to call on the Ontario government to appoint a supervisor to oversee operations at the NPCA.

Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority representatives were on their feet for more than an hour Monday as St. Catharines councillors grilled them about the state of the authority’s affairs.

St. Catharines council asks for staff report on NPCA

City staff is about to do a deep dive on the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) at the request of St. Catharines city council. On Monday night, councillors were set to consider a motion put forward by Port Dalhousie Ward Coun. Bruce Williamson calling on the Ontario Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry to appoint a supervisor to take over operations of the NPCA within the next six months or to dissolve the NPCA.
