Saturday solidarity rallies for CUPE education workers

We all forced Doug Ford to repeal his anti-union legislation, Bill 28, by rallying across the province with CUPE education workers, and our own OPSEU/SEFPO Sector 3 Boards of Education workers too. But the fight wasn’t over then, and it’s not over now.

CUPE boards of education workers need us to rally with them again this Saturday, November 19th.

OPSEU/SEFPO President JP Hornick will be speaking at the Saturday Solidarity rally in Toronto at Yonge-Dundas Square at 11:00 AM.

CUPE has announced a strike deadline of Monday, November 21st. They’re fighting hard at the bargaining table for proper funding and staffing levels for the services they provide to students. They need our help to convince Education Minister Stephen Lecce to agree to a fair deal to avert a strike.

Why we stand with boards of education workers

Learn more from OPSEU/SEFPO’s boards of education workers how underfunding and understaffing our schools harms students, staff and communities. This is not just CUPE’s fight or OPSEU/SEFPO’s fight. It’s everyone’s fight.
