We are thrilled to formally announce the election results of the OPSEU/SEFPO Coalition of Racialized Workers (CoRW) Election Summit which was held on March 22 – 24 2024 at the Sheraton Hotel, Toronto. The purpose of the Election Summit was to elect a total of fourteen (14) CoRW Provincial delegates from across all seven (7) OPSEU/SEFPO regions and Seven (7) Alternates.
The delegates regional representation is In accordance with approved Provincial CoRW Terms of Reference (TOR) as follows:-
- Region One (1) – Two (2) Delegates
- Region Two (2) – Two (2) Delegates
- Region Three (3) – Two (2) Delegates
- Region Four (4) – Two (2) Delegates
- Region Five (5) – Four (4) Delegates
- Region Six (6) – One (1) Delegate
- Region Seven (7) – One (1) Delegate
In addition to the 14 elected delegates, the Election Summit also cast a second ballot to elect 7 (seven) alternates; one from each of the seven (7) OPSEU/SEFPO regions. The Alternates step up to represent their respective regions in the event of a vacancy in the Provincial CoRW Committee.
The newly elected Provincial CoRW Committee and Alternates will assume their roles and responsibilities immediately after the 2024 OPSEU/SEFPO Convention scheduled from April 25 to 27, 2024. Below is the list of all elected Provincial CoRW Delegates and Alternates.
