Read the final report inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women

On December 8, 2015, the Government of Canada announced it was creating an inquiry that would make recommendations for action to address and prevent violence against Indigenous women and girls.

The National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls has now released its final report, “Reclaiming Power and Place.” It is of the highest importance for the life of Indigenous peoples and for Canadian society in general. OPSEU urges all members to read the final report attentively and to heed its recommendations.
