The Ontario Health Coalition (OHC) is hosting a Giant Health Care Rally at Queen’s Park on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

OPSEU will be there! Join us – and tell the Ford government to STOP health care privatization and cuts!

OPSEU Pre-Rally and March

Join OPSEU President Smokey Thomas and your OPSEU sisters and brothers at a pre-rally at 11:45 a.m. Then we’ll march together to Queen’s Park and join concerned citizens, health care workers from across the province, and the broader labour movement at the OHC’s giant rally there!

When:

Show up between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m. for the OPSEU Pre-Rally

Where:

In front of the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre (University Health Network)
585 University Avenue, Toronto
(Closest Intersection: University Ave. and Gerrard St. W. TTC: Queen’s Park Station)

March:

March to Queen’s Park right after the pre-rally (approx. 500 metres north, 5-10 minutes)

Get on the bus!

Various OPSEU regions are organizing buses to the rally. This list will be updated as more information is received. Please contact your Executive Board Members to find out if there is transportation being arranged near you. The Ontario Health Coalition also has a list of buses – click here for their list.

Region 1:

OPSEU Region 1 is sending two buses to the rally. Please note that to reserve your space on one of these buses you must contact Regional Vice President Len Elliott ([email protected]), or Executive Board Members Laurie Nancekivell ([email protected]) or Phillip Shearer ([email protected]).

London bus:

8:00 a.m. – Boarding begins at OPSEU London Regional Office, 1092 Dearness Ave., London
8:30 a.m. – Departure from OPSEU London Regional Office
9:15 a.m. – Stop and Pick Up in Woodstock at the parking lot behind Days Inn at Juliana Drive and Bruin Blvd.

Windsor bus:

6:00 a.m. – Boarding begins at OPSEU Windsor Regional Office, 3005 Marentette Ave., Windsor
6:30 a.m. – Departure from OPSEU Windsor Regional Office
7:30 a.m. – Pick-up at 21633 Communications Road in Blenheim (Chatham), just south of Hwy 401.
8:30 a.m. – Stop for food and pick-up at OPSEU London Regional Office, 1092 Dearness Drive.

Both buses will drop everyone off at Queen’s Park in Toronto at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Departure from Queen’s Park at approximately 1:30 p.m. for both buses (delay is possible due to number of buses departing at that time.)

Region 2:
