Dear OPSEU/SEFPO members working at Public Health Ontario,

Firstly, we’d like to address a recent oversight. It has come to our attention that many of our members may have mistakenly received the Canadian Blood Services (CBS) Bargaining Bulletin from OPSEU/SEFPO last night. We sincerely apologize for any confusion this may have caused. On a positive note, we extend our congratulations to the CBS Support bargaining team for reaching a tentative agreement.

For our PHO Members, we regret to say that our situation remains unchanged since our last update in the July Bulletin. As of now, we are still without a deal. For a detailed update, please refer to our July Bulletin.

However, we are making strides towards a resolution. We are pleased to announce that our Arbitration Date for the Wage Re-Opener has been set. Our case will be presented on February 15, 2024.

We firmly believe that it’s not too late for our employer to recognize our dedication and commitment. We urge them to offer wage increases in line with what other health care workers have achieved. Rest assured, your bargaining team is ever-ready and eager to engage with the employer to reach a fair agreement.

Lastly, as previously mentioned, we will be organizing a Zoom info meeting for all members. Details of this meeting will be released in September. We encourage all members to attend and stay informed.

In solidarity,
PHO Bargaining Team:
