There are 40,000 cardiac arrests in Canada per year

  • A recent study shows 25 per cent of public access defibrillators are not available 24 hours per day.
  • Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) and citizen CPR save lives.

What to do:

  • Register your defibrillator with your local paramedic service or register it online at health.gov.on.ca/en/public/programs/aed/
  • Encourage citizen CPR and Public Access Defibrillation in your community.

In the event of an emergency, call 911.
